Dare to visit the world's largest ice cave that never melts

Cueva HieloThe majestic cave located in Ningwu north of China, has 85 meters deep and 2, 3000 meters above sea level. So far this is the largest ice cave it has been found in the territory of China.

Scientists believe that the cave was formed about 3 million years ago during the ice age. The cave itself is truly magical, with a play of light and large ice cubes around. But its beauty is not the only thing special about it. The most striking fact is that the cave never melts even in summer, when temperatures can reach 17 degrees Celsius.

Experts claim that this effect is achieved by the specific form of the cave, which has a trap that brings fresh air through a narrow corridor and does not allow heat to enter.

“Finding Dory” Swimming for Record $140 Million Opening

Finding DoryGiving a much-needed jolt to the summer box office, “Finding Dory” is dominating moviegoing with a record-breaking $140 million opening weekend, estimates showed Saturday.

Disney/Pixar’s animated sequel, playing in 4,305 North American theaters, grossed a stunning $55 million on its opening day Friday.

“Finding Dory” will finish the frame with four times the total of action-comedy “Central Intelligence,” starring Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, which is launching with a solid $34 million at 3,508 sites this weekend.

“Dory” will demolish the nine-year-old record for best domestic animated opening, set by “Shrek the Third” in 2007 with $121.6 million. “Minions” was the second largest at $115.7 million, followed by Disney/Pixar’s “Toy Story 3” with $110 million.

At $140 million, “Dory” will rank as the 17th largest domestic opener of all time and the third largest of 2016. Marvel/Disney’s “Captain America: Civil War” had the year’s highest-grossing launch so far with $179 million, the fifth-largest debut of all time.

The sequel includes original director Andrew Stanton with DeGeneres returning to voice Dory along with Albert Brooks voicing her friend Marlin. Stanton’s co-director Angus MacLane is making his filmmaking debut.

The new story centers on Dory scouring the ocean in search of her long-lost parents. Disney did not provide a budget, but Pixar films typically carry price tags between $175 million and $200 million.

“Finding Dory” is enjoying a 95 percent “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Online ticket service Fandango reported this week that “Finding Dory” had become its top pre-selling animated movie ever. DeGeneres has been celebrating the movie this week on her TV talk show with “Finding Dory Week.”

“Central Intelligence” is also making a sturdy debut with a $13 million opening day on Friday. Johnson and Hart are paired for the first time, playing high school friends who have become a crack CIA agent and an accountant.

New Line’s second weekend of “The Conjuring 2” should finish a strong third with $20 million following its $40.4 million launch last weekend. The moderately priced horror sequel will finish the weekend with around $76 million domestically.

Lionsgate’s second weekend of “Now You See Me 2” is headed for a fourth-place finish with about $9 million, down 59 percent. Universal/Legendary’s “Warcraft” will follow follow in fifth with about $5.9 million — a plunge of 76 percent from its launch weekend.

By contrast, “Warcraft” has shown plenty of box office power outside the U.S. with about $280 million, including an impressive $156 million in China.

Helen Mirren Joins The Fast And The Furious 8´

Helen Mirren FF8Acclaimed, Academy Award-winning actress Helen Mirren is getting her wish and will appear in the next installment of The Fast and the Furious franchise.

In an interview with Elle, Mirren confirmed she's going to be in Fast 8 while talking about her role in the new film Eye in the Sky. "I like to be serious," said Mirren. "Of course, having said that I'm about to do Fast and Furious 8."

"But that's for the fun of it," Mirren continued. "So maybe that's what I want as well, some fun and some relevant, serious, important movies."

Mirren is mainly known for her dramatic roles, having been nominated four times for an Academy Award, including her win for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in 2006's The Queen. According to IGN's review, this year's Eye in the Sky "offers a thoughtful, nuanced middle ground," on the topic of drone warfare. However, Mirren previously delved into more straight-forward action with her role in the hit film Red and its sequel.

"I've always rather loved driving," said Mirren of taking the Fast and the Furious role. "I said, 'I'll be in it, but only if I'm allowed to drive if I do drive in it.' But we'll see."

Mirren had revealed her surprising hope to be in a Fast and Furious movie last year in an interview with Yahoo, saying, "My great ambition is to be in a Fast and Furious movie. I so want to be a mad driver in a Fast and Furious movie. My claim to fame is I always do my own driving — I was on Top Gear, and I did [my lap] in a very good time. I keep putting it out there, and they never ask me. I’ll be in Fast and Furious 8. I have to say Vin Diesel is brilliant. I love Vin Diesel. He’s a great guy, smart — I love him. It’s partly because of him I’d like to be in one, but also the driving."

A few months later, Diesel, speaking to MTV, indicated Mirren's hope could become a reality, saying, "I think everyone should do the franchise. They’ve gotta get in line behind Helen Mirren. She is on the list. Be careful what you wish for, Helen.”

No details have been revealed on Mirren's character, though ever since she expressed interest, many have suggested she could play the mother of Fast and Furious villains Owen and Deckard Shaw, played by Luke Evans and Jason Statham. Statham is back for the new film.

Fast and the Furious 8 is due to hit theaters on April 14, 2017. It was revealed earlier this year that Mirren's fellow Oscar-winner, Charlize Theron, will have a villainous role in the film.

Four Packing tips every traveler should know

Packing TipsPacking is pivotal. Forget an essential item and you're left disappointed and scrambling to find the nearest store in your destination. Pack too much and you end up disorganized, burdened with heavy bags, and hemorrhaging money to pay for pricey airline baggage fees. So we thought it best to revisit the most basic—and most useful—packing rules. Here are 10 fundamental packing strategies that every traveler should learn.

1. Roll, don't fold.

Many travel experts—including backpackers, who must stuff months' worth of clothing into a pack the size of a box of wine—agree that rolling is superior to folding. Tightly rolled clothes take up less space than folded ones. Plus, they're less prone to getting deep wrinkles from fold creases.

2. Make a packing list

When it comes to packing, procrastinators fall short. Start your packing process days or even weeks ahead of your departure date; this gives you time to craft a complete list, plus purchase any additional items you might need for your vacation. Creating a packing list is a fail-safe way to ensure that you never, ever forget to bring something important.

3. Know your airline's baggage-fee policy

Figuring out the airlines' tricky and befuddling baggage-fee policies is key to any budget-minded packing strategy. While most airlines permit travelers to check at least one bag on international flights, the majority of U.S. carriers charge big bucks for bags checked on domestic flights. Spirit Airlines—that notoriously customer-unfriendly discounter—even charges as much as $100 for carry-on bags.

Before you begin packing, take a peek at your airline's website and read its baggage policy. This is something you might even want to do prior to buying your plane ticket, especially if you're set on bringing a checked bag or two. Consider flying on Southwest or JetBlue, both of which permit at least one free checked bag on domestic flights.

4. Follow the 3-1-1 rule

What happens if you don't follow the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) 3-1-1 rule for carry-on luggage? Attempt to bring a large bottle of shampoo or a full-size gel deodorant through the security line and the TSA will likely confiscate your stuff, holding you up in line in the process. So get familiar with the agency's rules: All liquids brought onto planes must be in 3.4-ounce bottles or smaller and inside a single, clear, quart-size zip-top bag.

It also helps to know which items are, according to the TSA, considered liquids or gels and thereby subject to the 3-1-1 rule. This isn't as simple as it sounds. Foods such as peanut butter, pudding, mashed potatoes, and icing are classified as gels. Mascara, lip gloss, and aerosol items are also classified as liquids or gels. But keep in mind that liquid prescription medication is exempt.

‘The Conjuring 2’ Dominating Box Office with $39 Million

The Conjuring 2New Line’s “The Conjuring 2” is scaring up a solid $39 million at 3,343 sites in its opening weekend at the U.S. box office, handily beating launches by “Warcraft” and “Now You See Me 2,” estimates showed Saturday.

Universal’s fantasy-actioner  “Warcraft” is heading for a respectable $27 million at 3,400 locations while Lionsgate’s caper thriller “Now You See Me 2” should take in about $24 million at 3,232 venues.

“The Conjuring 2” dominated moviegoing Friday with $16.4 million, followed by $10.7 million for “Warcraft” and $8.4 million for “Now You See Me 2.” Both sequels generated an A- Cinemascore among attendees, while “Warcraft” generated a B+. Reviews for “Warcraft” were more dismal, with just 27% positive on Rotten Tomatoes, while “Now You See Me 2” fared only slightly better with 37%.

Should the estimate hold for “The Conjuring 2,” the sequel will finish the frame down only 5% from the opening of 2013’s original horror-thriller — showing that moviegoers will offer strong support to franchises in their second incarnation. Concerns about the viability of sequels have risen in recent weeks following disappointing performances by “Alice Through the Looking Glass” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

“The Conjuring 2” brings back Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, who return as the husband-wife team of paranormal investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren, three years after the original hauled in a stunning $318 million worldwide. The duo deals with the 1977 case of demonic possession of an 11-year-old British girl, played by Madison Wolfe.

Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst with ComScore, said that the sequel is benefitting from the powerful performance of the original. ‘The brilliant first ‘Conjuring’ has become a staple on home video and has built a following that should manifest a terrific debut for this follow up,” he noted.

The U.S. performance of “Warcraft,” Legendary and Universal’s pricey video game adaptation, is coming in line with expectations that emerged in recent weeks. Performance in China has been stellar, by comparison, with $144 million in its first four days — or more than half of the worldwide gross of $277 million.

The opening weekend for “Now You See Me 2” will finish with a decline of about 18% from the 2013 original, which went on to gross more than $350 million worldwide. The sequel carries a $90 million budget, brings back Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman and Mark Ruffalo, and adds Daniel Radcliffe and Lizzy Caplan.

“The Conjuring 2” has also opened impressively in 44 international markets with $19.5 million at roughly 9,800 screens with number one opening days in 25 markets, including all of Latin America, Australia and several Asian markets.

The sequel scored the biggest opening day ever for a horror film in 24 markets, including Australia, Mexico, Brazil and all of Latin America.

Mexico led the way with $1.6 million on nearly 3,100 screens with a dominating 78% of the top five films in its Thursday opening, then added $2 million more on Friday.

Finding Dory could be the best premiere of Pixar

Finding Dory"It Finding Dory" is on track to give Pixar greater openness in its history when it hits theaters on June 17. The sequel to "Finding Nemo" 2003 is eyeing a debut of between $ 115 million and $ 120 million, a massive number which should help reinvigorate a locker slow summer.

"We're pretty optimistic about it," said Shawn Robbins, box office analyst with BoxOffice.com high level. "It's well ahead of the pace in terms of where other Pixar releases have been. Given the state 'Finding Nemo' as a modern classic, which will be huge."

It is a return to form of animation company after last fall "The Good Dinosaur" became the first release of Pixar to lose money. Before rare misstep, the study had developed a reputation for quality and commercial success that has rarely been equaled. His hits include "Wall-E", "Inside Out" and "Toy Story" films that were praised for their creative and daring films that marked the beginning of a renaissance of animation.

"Finding Dory" looks set to continue what is shaping up to be a very good for Disney, Pixar's parent company year. The study has amassed more than $ 4 billion in ticket sales worldwide in record time, and sent three of four grossing films of the year with "Captain America: Civil War." "Zootopia" and "The Jungle Book"

It is also good news for theater owners. yields summer box office have been reduced by approximately 15%, as blockbusters such as "Captain America: Civil War" and "X-Men: Apocalypse" are struggling to match those 2015 heavyweights like "Avengers: Age of Ultron "," Pitch Perfect 3 "and" Mad Max Fury Road :. "Many analysts expect that 2016 could suffer by comparison. Last summer set a new record, helping to push the annual domestic box office more than $ 4 billion for the first time.

When a movie is generating the kind of excitement that "Finding Dory" it is with consumers, monitoring may not be reliable. It is possible that the film could get below the threshold of $ 115 million. However, if it comes to that point, he will bow "Toy Story 3" $ 110.3 million at best debut of the company. "Finding Nemo" opened to $ 70.2 million, from $ 380.8 million to do in the US and $ 936.7 million worldwide.

Unlike other summer blockbusters, Pixar film not a disproportionate amount of their ticket sales swallow in its opening weekend release. animated films tend to enjoy repeat business. Looking at the calendar, "Finding Dory" has a relatively open field when it comes to family photos. "Alice Through the Looking Glass" bombed and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" disappointed, leaving few options for consumers with children. The next film aimed at children, adaptation of Roald Dahl's "The BFG" by Steven Spielberg not debut until two weeks after "Finding Dory" releases.

"Finding Dory" brings back to Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks, the two principal voice cast members from the original film. "Finding Nemo", co-director and co-writer Andrew Stanton handles the script for the sequel and co-directs with Angus MacLane. The film follows Dory, a fish with the loss of short term memory while trying to reunite with their parents.

Handwrite stimulates your memory

Escribir A ManoWith so much technology we do not usually write by hand and we think we could survive without it, but the handwriting can help you think better

Studies have found that the handwriting is a good exercise for the brain because it increases the visual, motor and cognitive abilities. This activity goes to work to neurons and not let die.

Researchers at the University of Washington say the take paper, pen and handwrite facilitates learning and retain information better, longer and more easily.

Advantages of handwriting:

Learning: In writing we focus on the word that we are scoring, so a part of the brain called the reticular activating system is activated. This system acts as a filter for what the brain needs to process, giving more importance to things in which we are actively focusing.

Avoid distractions: Technology encourages doing different activities at once and often without paying sufficient attention to each. When writing by hand you need to focus on what you're writing and thinking quietly each of the words, so it is almost impossible to do so many things at once. There are many active functions (think of what we write, hold the instrument, display, writing) to be aware of many others.

Active brain: Taking notes by hand involves your motor skills, memory, it is also a good mental exercise. This practice helps boost intelligence.

If you stop handwrite can lose the ability legible handwriting, children take longer to learn to read and adults lose the ability to read run. That is why it is recommended handwrite and practice writing from time to time, thus keep your brain agile and not lose the skills already acquired.

Instagram Changes Feed Order Despite Resistance from Users

Instagram LogoInstagram is changing the way it is displaying photos to its users: Instead of simply showing every photo in reverse-chronological order, Instagram will soon use algorithms to figure out which photos individual users would like to see, and display those photos more prominently.

The Facebook-owned video service announced the changes Friday on its blog. “On average, people miss 70 percent of their feeds. It’s become harder to keep up with all the photos and videos people share as Instagram has grown,” the post reads.

Instagram had first announced its plans for an algorithmic feed in March, and since tested it with a subset of users. “We found that people are liking photos more, commenting more and generally engaging with the community in a more active way,” the company said about these tests. It now wants to bring the new feed to all of its users in the coming month.

However, not everyone is on board with an algorithmic Instagram feed. Some of the service’s users launched a petition against the changes in March, and were able to since gather more than 337,000 signatures for their cause.
